Moved back to Texas in 2020 and have continued to go back to our area and “they” are back. I have two others of this 30 ft. Pine tree that was just snapped within a day or so best I could tell. Can’t bring up the photos from the album. There was no other trees or bushes around it disturbed; no storm, etc. That’s a 4” solid pine and all the branches and needles were perfectly 100%fresh. Heard a howl in a distant that night in among the coyotes.
When I was there in November, around ten at night we saw them in trees with the eye shine of both eyes. At least two, possibly three, moving along with us. Total dark and they were about 3-4 ft off ground and we had them for about 30 minutes. The eyes were close together representing young squatches. No noise; they are so quiet and there was no wind.
I’ve been back several times in last year and a half, and I had an incident at other location, but let me look at my previous ones. Ok!
Last April I believe, I went to the spot where I saw the head in the bushes in the afternoon. I came back to the truck by road and waited till after dark. It was around 9 or 10 pm and as I’m sitting by the truck in my chair with lantern going, I heard the patter of ”little feet” like a kid run across the shell/ dirt road. No wind, pitch dark , and then I heard the last 2 steps go into the forest floor with leaves, vegetation, completely different sound. Well, out in the middle of nothing for miles, no houses, etc. there’s only one creature it could have been. That was so cool. oh yeah, right before that, there was noise in the trees, brush, right off to my left, to distract me of the one coming. Of course, that’s how stratigic they are. It was so obvious. I did not have my hog hunting green light at that time that has an adjustable bright beam that will go for 200 yards. I do now.
If I can find away Amanda, I will post the other two tree photos. I hope they are back and I can give some good data.
Im close to my spot now and will be going back more now and hope to get something good to share.
Send me an email Amanda.
